How often should a chimney be inspected?

The common recommendation is an inspection every year, with cleaning when the inspection shows buildup. Homes that burn wood often through our long heating season tend to need cleaning more. Chimneys that sit unused still need checks for nests, debris and mortar damage.

Why should dryer vents be cleaned?

Lint builds up in the vent run over time, slowing airflow and making the dryer work harder. Lint is flammable, so a clogged vent is a fire risk. Long runs through attics or crawl spaces collect the most and can leak damp air if disconnected. We clean the run and check every connection.

Can you build an outdoor fireplace or pizza oven?
